Last night there was a release party for PickUpSound.com
PickUpSound is an online record label. They represent 30 bands and among them iO.
It's the talents behind MusikTalent that have initiated PickUpSound, and for that we solute them.

It has been some hectic months since last. Nick has had a boy child, now named Neo.
He is 7 months and a cute little rascal.
iO is still working I the rehearsal room. We are doing recordings of Devil, Head's on the run and Shadow Boy. The will be 2 additional tracks as well. The mix should be finished before Christmas.

The contracts for the Iraqi oil are still in the unfair making, so there is no way that the US is going to head home right now - so there is still more songs in the making about that business.
Then again - it might be time for a change in subject. Let's see.

Thanks to everyone who came to Aarhus last weekend. The band had a good time, despite summer colds and long hours on the road.
We have no plans for upcoming concerts at this time, because we will be writing new material in the fall, and recording some of the old and some of the new tunes this winter.

Music Talent have arranged a concert at "The Rock", Thursday the 25 of August.

"The Rock" will be the stage for the next iO concert. It's will be a night of rock and roll. There will be two other bands playing that night: Azeta & Mia Mirror.

The Concert at Amagerbio was probably one of the best shows that iO have played to date.

The dates for three of the upcoming gigs are now in place.

iO will be playing at "The Dive" on the 25'th of May.
"Music Talent" has arranged two conerts over the summer. The First is in "Amager Bio" and old cinema in Copenhagen. There will be four bands that night and iO will start of at 9'oclock.
The second gig is on the 25´th of August, and here "Music Talent" have arranged a music contest, that iO will participate in.
Come and give your support - we sure could do with it.

Nick had a little son. 4,4 kg and 55 cm long. The boy is going to be named Neo.

After a bit of a break iO is no ready to play live again.
There are a few jobs in the making, and a few dates to sort out, but you can start out with this date.

Christina Stewart has taken on the job. She can't possibly do a worse job of it than we have, so hopefully we will be playing more concerts in the future.

As time flies. After the recording session of recent, the band has been vacating.
Nick was in Australia for a month (great country, shame the didn't sign the Kyoto agreement) and now Thomas is of to USA (another non signer) - so the band has been laying low.
As a small Christmas gift, you can listen to the latest mixes of "Head on the run", "One Step" and "Show me Love". Give them away as presents if you like.
iO will be playing in the new year and we are planning next summers tour as we speak.
But until then, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

iO is currently in the studio finishing the tunes, The Real Thing and Heads on the Run.
You should be able to here them some time next week. Until then you can always listen to the demo versions from here.
We will also release all the songs that have been recorded from here, for free. You can still buy the tracks if you like, and that would be awfully kind of you.

We are still trying to figure out what tunes will go well on the upcoming single. We have narrowed it down to: The Real Thing, Heads on the run, Bullet in your eye, One step and Show me love.
And we are only going to record two tracks. Tip us your favorites.

You can listen to the latest draft of"Devil" .It's a song about religion and other fanatics. The leap of faith leaves no room for other beliefs. If others are right, are you then wrong?
Everyone that heard us over the summer might have wondered why the net version was different. It was an old version, that didn't work in the band.
This is for all of you who insisted on hearing "Devil", again - and again. Have fun.

You can have a preview of "Bullet in your eye" from Audio. It's a song about fear and propaganda -inspired by the rhetoric from the Bush administration after 9/11. If the people are in a state of fear, they are willing to go to war. The Bush administration had planned two, and that was even before breakfast.

Rock On Rock
Big stage small crowd, but what a crowd.
Despite the bad weather all weekend, and the lack of people at the Rock On Rock festival last weekend, we closed Friday night on the big stage with a blast. We had a great time on stage, and the diminutive crowed were jumping up and down for 1 ½ hours. You were great,and thanks for the support. We will see you all again next summer where iO are back on Rock On Rock.

iO will be playing at RockOnRock. It's a festival placed on Bornholm. The final details are in the making, but iO should be on stage in the tent at 22.30 Friday night

iO played at Fredriksberg teachers Collage Tuesday. We considered it a technical dress rehearsal, and as such, it went well.
On board we had Preben Friis - a fantastic sound desk operator. He has promised to help us out all summer, so the sound is going to be great.

Dates for some of the upcoming concerts this summer
Monday the 26 of July at 21.30 , "Centralgaarden" in Rudkøbing.
Wednesday the 28 of July, 22.30, "Langelands" festival.

iO will be playing at"Langelands" Festival in the end of July.
Langelands Festival is placed in idyllic surrounding, on a small island in Denmark .
Other bands playing are, Simple Minds and Level 42 and Safri Duo.

iO has had a few changes in the group recently. Henrik Skøtt has left the band as drummer, to be replaced by Thomas Brabæk. The latest new member of Io, is Peter Højfeldt Jensen on bass.

iO spent the autumn and winter of 2003 writing new material for the upcoming concerts in the spring and summer of 2004.
In 2003 Io released the demo cd "This Day" that was recorded live at Danish National Broadcasting Studio 3.
"This Day" was intended to give the band and the audience an idea of how the music would sound live.
Blame, This Day, Wasteland and Hold Me were all recorded shortly after iO got together.
In March iO will start rehearsing the new material, songs "Bullet in your eyes","City of Hope" and "Miss Liberty" they will be a part of the repertoire. You can follow the early stages of the songs from ioone.net.
